We are going on tour with a “working cut” of the film and screening it for free in states that are experiencing similar issues effecting their communities as communities in Arizona. The grassroots tour will give audiences and people involved in the film the opportunity to see, share and learn from one another about the struggle for human rights. We will also document the discussion and dialogue, highlights of which will be posted on the Under Arpaio blog.
A “working cut” means we are showing a longer version to audiences to give them the opportunity for feedback and organizing around the issues examined in the film before the final edit is completed. It will create a better film that transcends the typical movie-going experience by being more focused on making direct connections with viewers to motivate them into action toward positive change.
You can help support this grassroots tour by making a donation (donation link). Thank you.
Under Arpaio Trailer
Under Arpaio shows the grassroots resistance to Maricopa County, Arizona's Sheriff Joe Arpaio who prides himself on being the "toughest sheriff in America". Arpaio prides himself on immigration raids on migrant and Latino neighborhoods, human rights violations in his jails and wasting hundreds of of millions of taxpayer dollars. Under Arpaio features the grassroots activists from low-income migrant communities, the attorneys, reporters, elected officials, and indigenous people who speak truth to power.Get Under Arpaio to those effected by anti-migrant legislation
